In 1992, ECRI applied for and received FCC approval to increase the station to 50,000 with a new tower in Columbia NC. Then in 1995, we acquired WRSF Dixie 105.7 FM with dedication and vision to transformed the station into the #1 choice in northeastern North Carolina, known for its beloved programming. East Carolina Radio has expanded significantly, now encompassing a diverse portfolio that includes 6 FM radio stations, 3 AM radio Stations with 2 of which have FM Translators, 6 LPTV Stations on Outer banks, 6 Low power o-v-air television stations, The Outer Banks Voice, OBX Vacation Channel, and various digital platforms focused on the Outer Banks area.
